Two of our Dungeon Masters Guild releases — Calendar of Harptos and Curse of Strahd DM’s Kit & Screen — have been updated with new layouts! We’ve sold a gajillion copies of these releases, and felt it was time to give them the facelift they deserve to continue to be amazing products.
But that’s not all! Read on for more updates and some screenshots of these beauties!
Curse of Strahd DM’s Kit & Screen
The DM kit and screen for Curse of Strahd is one of our best-selling releases by far, and that’s because it provides some in-depth discussion on various plot points in the campaign, new options for expanding or streamlining the story, an index of all the named NPCs for quick reference, and even 3 new Factions for players to join if they are natives to Barovia…or expecting a long stay beyond the Mists!
Not only have we updated the layout of this release, we’ve also added a much expanded section on how to run the Castle Ravenloft area as a one-shot, which is perfect for pick-up games, convention games, store demos, or a yearly rematch with everyone’s favorite vampiric villain!
The DM Screen comes in both portrait and landscape versions, and are full-color for printing purposes, though printing them in black-and-white still looks good, too. While we thought about prettying them up even more, we’ve found through playtests that having clean, artwork-free margins aloud for some useful note-taking, so we decided against it. That said, we are looking to either update the Kit or create an add-on product that includes even more useful information for adventuring in Barovia. Look for that in the coming weeks. (That’s right, coming weeks! Not months.)

Calendar of Harptos
One of our very first releases was the Calendar of Harptos, which isn’t just a calendar, but also a comprehensive index of all holidays and ceremonies observed in Faerun! Indexes of these holy days by patron, name, seasonal event, moon phase, and so on are provided for easy reference by players and DMs looking to create more evocative interactions with the various religions, shrines, and worshippers that are commonly found throughout the Realms. This release has sold incredibly well, but it’s been looking dated for some time…
So, when we released Player Roles — a player-centric toolkit and compilation of handouts — layout guru and cover artist Elena Naylor provided a blank calendar page for players to take notes on. We’ve since used that template to create a fully realized, twelve month calendar that now graces this wonderful guide! No longer are you beholden to crappy Word Doc “design”…though, we still include ODT, DOC, and DOCX versions of the original calendar for your own remixing and updating, if you’re a hands-on type of person.
